“Unique”
Colorado Company Launches
Tammy Allen
of Grand Junction, Colo., one of the nation’s premier
collectors of classic cars, has started a luxury limousine
company called Allen Unique Autos (AUA). Allen owns
more than 100 classic vehicles including early American
cars from the ’20s and ’30s, classic Cadillacs from
the ’40s and ’50s, and a “spine-tingling” set of Dodge
Vipers. AUA was launched with a diverse mix of exotic
and classic limousines including a 1938 Cadillac stretch,
a one-of-a-kind stretched pink Mini Cooper, and an impressive
group of stretch Hummers, Escalades, and classic and
current Lincolns. Allen also owns the 1988 navy Lincoln
that was used in the original Die Hard movie, starring
Bruce Willis. AUA also has an all-female management
team with the color pink prominently featured in its
logo and printed material; “girl power” is the company’s
official motto. Allen says, “We are open for business
to everyone in Western Colorado and beyond, but we also
want to inspire and encourage women interested in entrepreneurship.”
